Sasken offers a complete range of services from putting an architecture in place to sourcing 3 rd party IP’s; to providing a tested silicon back to customer. Sasken offers it’s customer a single point solution to eliminate its cost of ownership & supply chain management whilst maintaining high quality standards. Sasken delivers to its customers optimum value for its budget be it low, medium or high volume production needs.

Specific examples of the areas in which some of these projects may be undertaken are shown below:

Architecture Analysis

  • Feasibility & Throughput Analysis
  • SW Modeling (e.g. Mirabilis, AVIP etc.)

For Architecture frozen by the customer, the following services will be provided:

  • IP analysis & sourcing (both digital & analog):
  • IPs are sourced from required vendors and compatibility with current design needs are evaluated

RTL Design & Integration:
Taking a given architecture and implementing it into RTL is done. Pre-existing RTL is seamlessly integrated with new RTL that may be written by Sasken team or by the customer

Functional Verification:
This involves understanding the SoC architecture & creating a comprehensive testplan. Detailed analysis of various test-cases based on a complete functional metric evolved from the testplan is studied and subsequently executed. This is done using the coverage driven verification methodologies like System verilog, Specman etc.

Synthesis and Formal Verification:
Sasken has in-depth experience in this area. Sasken has experience in custom synthesis flows as well as a Low Power Methodology that is being developed in-house on internal designs.

Design for Testability (DFT):
This niche area is handled frequently at Sasken. Sasken has cumulative experience across many designs and customers. All areas of DFT like DFT design, ATPG, BIST etc are handled.

ASIC Prototyping (FPGA or Emulation platforms):
Prototyping is done as a part of most of Saskens existing projects. Sasken has captive Emulation and FPGA platforms that allows it to prototype designs from small to very large.

Physical Design:
This includes many sub-areas including Floor-Planning, Placement and routing. All flavors of physical are handled by Sasken.

Timing Closure:
Another niche area, Sasken has expertise in all the industry standard tools and knowledge of timing closure built over many designs with many customers.

Foundry Interface (shuttle, engineering, volume production):
Sasken will work with it’s foundry partners to deliver customers samples either thru the shuttle or engineering runs. Sasken can also help ramp up to customers volume production needs with all the necessary care-abouts.

Testing, Packaging & Chip Qualification:
Sasken has tie-ups with its partner ecosystem to flawlessly support this activity.

Post-Silicon Validation:
Sasken will undertake all activities associated with post-silicon validation.

Complimenting Services:
Board Design (test board, load board, evaluation board, demo board etc.) Board Support Package(BSP), embedded software, protocol stack for various communication protocol & application development.
