Software Engineer
Area of work: Modem Software Testing
Job Description:
As a software engineer working on these activities, your objective will be to ensure that the mobile phone platforms we are working on conform to the 3GPP standards and support the listed features. This will involve activities such as running the test cases on the mobile phone platform in our test lab using the test equipment and analyzing the results and reporting the same.
Experience: 0 – 3 years
Educational Qualification:
- Engineering Graduate/ Bachelor of Engineering
- Specialisation: Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science/ Telecommunication/ Information Systems
Skills:
- Good embedded software knowledge.
- Knowledge in 2.5G Modem.
- L1, Protocol Stack.
- GSM, GPRS, EDGE.
- Knowledge in Multimedia Codecs.
- Strong programming skills.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl
- Good knowledge on C/C++ languages is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the end-use of IBM Rational products, with concentration in the ClearCase and ClearQuest areas.
- Follow organization processes, practices, and procedures.

Senior Software Engineer
Area of work: Modem Software Testing
Job Description:
As a software engineer working on these activities, you will be responsible for ensuring that the mobile phone platforms we are working on conform to the 3GPP standards and support the listed features.
This will involve running the test cases on the mobile platforms and collect the results using the test equipment in our labs as well as live networks, perform the analysis of the test cases to locate the defects and prepare the test reports for the same. You may need to lead a team of 2-3 engineers working on the same module. You are expected to communicate with the development team regarding your analysis.
Experience: + 4 years
Educational Qualification:
- Engineering Graduate/ Bachelor of Engineering
- Specialisation: Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science/ Telecommunication/ Information Systems
Skills:
- Working knowledge of software product test development, debug, and execution for a given release family.
- Experience with implementing and debugging product test cases so to maximize defect detection and isolation.
- Good knowledge on C/C++ languages is a plus.
- Very good knowledge in 2.5G Modem.
- L1, Protocol Stack.
- GSM, GPRS, EDGE.
- Able to analyze modem traces and locate defect.
- Good knowledge of test equipments: Agilent 8960, Anite SAT4.
- GCF testcases knowledge.
- Experience with producing test results on a regular basis, track any regression, and track test suite execution vs. Test Plan and Release Plan.
- Experience with software product test fault analysis desirable.
- Will own product testing schedule towards completing required tasks to reach product maturity.
- Drive towards 100% product test execution rate, and 100% pass rate of all major+ defects.
- The ideal candidate will have strong software programming skills in the following languages: Perl.
- The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the end-use of IBM Rational products, with concentration in the ClearCase and ClearQuest areas.
- Comprehend objectives, milestones, release plans, program management plans, and roadmaps; tracking release deliverables against the same and ensuring alignment.
- Follow organization processes, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with CMMi or equivalent processes is desirable.
