Analysis of Real-Time Multimedia Systems in Linux

Modern infotainment processors have sophisticated hardware accelerators for high-resolution video processing, but still there are some use-cases that stretch them to the limit, requiring near real-time processing realizing them (e.g. BD). On GPOS, meeting these requirements can be a challenge resulting in video artifacts like jerkiness, freeze, audio video sync loss and distortion.
