Kaustinen, May 10, 2007- Sasken Communication Technologies Limited celebrates the 40th anniversary of Kaustinen Music week as a proud partner and supporter of the festival. The roots of Sasken Finland Oy are in Kaustinen, where this Sasken subsidiary, formerly Botnia Hightech, was established in 1989. The Kaustinen Music Week represents the roots of Sasken Finland and its connection to today’s multicultural environment.

The Kaustinen Music Festival promotes Finnish folk culture by providing a permanent venue for performance for all folk performers – traditional or contemporary. Spread over nine days, the event is the largest and oldest folk festival in the Nordic countries. The Festival boasts of presenting its audiences with the essence of the rich folk cultures from all over the world. For example, the Indian folk dance group Shilpagya´s performances can be enjoyed through the whole event period.
