Clay glitters gold for Sasken
Sasken Annual Report bags the gold award in
the Telecom Category at LACP Vision Awards – 2006

Bangalore, July 13, 2007: Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd. (BSE: SASKEN), one of India’s leading communications solutions companies, today announced that its annual report for year 2005-06 has won the Gold Award in the telecom category of the prestigious 2006 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition . The competition is held by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). LACP was established in 2001 in order to create a forum within the public relations industry that facilitates discussion of best-in-class practices within the profession, while also recognizing those who demonstrate exemplary communications capabilities.

Sasken has adopted Clay as a core medium of expression for its branding elements. The annual report for the fiscal year 2005-06, was the second year in running where clay was used to tell the Sasken story. Commenting on the award, Mr Rajiv Mody, Chairman and CEO, Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd, said, “It has been our constant endeavour to reach out to all stakeholders in the most innovative and transparent manner. We do not consider the annual report as a financial manuscript, but as substantiation of our ethos and philosophies. We are glad that the report has been acknowledged at such a prestigious forum.”

The design and conceptualization was done along with Ogilvy India. “This year’s annual report for Sasken Communication Technologies proves to be remarkable in light of tremendous competition,” said Christine Kennedy, LACP Managing Director. “More than 2500 entries were received for the 2006 Vision Awards, comprising submissions from 21 countries.”

Sasken’s Annual Report has also been recognized as one of the Top 100 Annual Reports of 2006 across all categories, ranking at number 88. Swami Krishnan, Chief Marketing Officer, said “It is a matter of pride that Sasken has made India feature in the top 100 list of Annual Reports across the globe”.
