Solution:
- The work involved productization of 8 different variants of head units on two operating systems. Sasken worked on:
- Feature enablement: CarPlay
- System Drivers: Upgrading and integrating USB drivers
- Middleware: Integrating of mode manager for handling complex mode switching, allocation of audio resources, and automatic volume control based on temperature
- Connectivity: CAN, Ethernet AVB, Bluetooth service layer integration & testing
- Applications: BT application development, back-end CarPlay application
- Base port: Kernel upgrade from 3.8 to 3.14 and Android M update
