An American conglomerate approached Sasken to develop a proof of concept for a new industrial scanner. The customer was looking to diversify its product portfolio with a scanner that integrates cameras with machine vision and machine learning capabilities. Sasken customized the Android interface, integrated the cameras seamlessly, and aligned the image stitching FGPA module with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 platform. This prototype will improve overall efficiency and reduce human intervention by automating barcode scanning of packaged inventory units for widescale usage.
