Scope

Continuous Integration for Telematics Control Unit (TCU) and Manual, Integration and System testing of TCU features for gasoline and electrical vehicles.

Solution

  • Developed a framework using Python to automate end-to-end features testing of TCU which interacts with Telematics Service Provider (TSP) for positive and negative test scenarios.
  • Team has developed 781 test cases for testing of 11 telematics features and the framework has been updated as per the change in the requirement. Features include: Emergency call, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Intrusion Alert, Remote Horn/Light, Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Car Finder, Remote Engine Start, Remote Customization Application, and Information Request Application
  • Team also logged 152 defects/impediments in the software
  • Testing is performed on the remote hardware located in Detroit
  • Test framework is getting updated whenever there is a change in feature requirement which can be used for another TCU in future

Prepared the requirement traceability matrix and defined all possible test cases from the system requirement to ensure:

  • Error detection and removal
  • Determine level of reliability
  • Well-planned Test Case procedure for automation
  • Automate Email notifications
  • Graphical analysis of build results
