A Japanese enterprise device manufacturer was seeking to expand their presence in Japan and in North America with a variety of Android-based devices. Sasken was brought onboard as a trusted collaborator to deliver a seamless experience upgrading their devices from Android 10 to Android 11. By leveraging a diverse expertise in the Android domain, the team provided an effective roadmap for the devices running on MediaTek and Qualcomm chipsets. This endeavor also involved working with network providers from each country, with Sasken taking complete ownership of the Android upgrade of devices for the North American market, including end-to-end responsibilities and customizations provided by the customer and their network partner. The end result of this engagement was the successful delivery of Android powered devices customized as per the network providers’ requirements and up-to-date with the latest Android version for both the Japanese and North American markets.
