Sasken has a long-standing history of being market leaders in Android and Linux as well as in enabling customers to build world-class products. Now, the company has entered the avionic industry with a project in Android-based in-flight infotainment. Sasken will be enabling the customer – a Japanese multinational electronics conglomerate – to switch the operating system in their in-flight infotainment systems from proprietary OS to Android. Sasken will be providing a completely new solution to enable the porting of Android Pie into a custom hardware platform. Once successfully ported, the solution will be tested and verified to ensure it meets certification standards.
